d. If the proper hardware is installed, the inspection procedure is complete. Re-install oil cooler access
cover and clear the red horizontal dash / / - / / entry.
e. If during the inspection process it is determined that improper hardware is installed:
(1) Clear the red horizontal dash / / - / / entry.
(2) Make the following red / / X / / entry: "Improper Hardware Installed In The Oil Cooler Fan Shaft
Assembly Forward Mount." Correct IAW paragraph 9 of this TB.
9. Correction Procedures. .
If the inspection process in paragraph 8. reveals incorrect or un-installed hardware in the oil cooler fan shaft
assembly forward mount:
a. Gain access to the oil cooler fan exit flange and oil cooler shaft by removing oil cooler radiator in
accordance with TM 1-1520-237-23-4, paragraph 6-4-46.1.1..
b. Remove existing hardware and inspect/repair oil cooler exit flange and oil cooler shaft in accordance
with TM 1-1520-237-23-4, para 6-4-49.2.2..
c. Install the correct hardware in the oil cooler fan exit flange to the oil cooler shaft in accordance with
TM 1-1520-237-23-4, paragraph 6-4-49.2.3..
d. When proper hardware has been installed, clear the red / / X / / entry.
10. Supply/Parts and Disposition.
a. Parts required. Items cited in paragraph 6. may be required to replace defective items.
b. Requisitioning instructions. Requisition replacement parts using normal supply procedures. All req-
uisitions shall use project code (CC 57-59) "X0R" (X-Ray Zero Romeo).
NOTE
Project code "X0R" is required to track and establish a data base of stock fund expenditures in-
curred by the field as a result of message actions.
c. Bulk and Consumable Materials. N/A.
d. Disposition. Dispose of removed parts/components using normal supply procedures.
e. Disposition of Hazardous Material. N/A.
11. Special Tools, and Fixtures Required.. As required.
a. Category of Maintenance.
(1) AVUM . Aircraft downtime will be charged to AVUM maintenance. Report aircraft non-mis-
sion capable maintenance (NMCM) while undergoing inspection and correction IAW this TB.
b. Estimated Time Required.
(1) Time to Complete Inspection -
(a) Total of 1 man-hour using 1 person.
(b) Total of 1 hour downtime for one end item.
(2) Time For Replacement -
(a) Total of 6 man-hours using 3 persons.
